WELCOME TO CULVER CITY
Culver City is a diverse neighborhood located on the Westside of Los Angeles with a rich history in both filmmaking and aviation. Incorporated by Harry Culver in the early 1900s, Metro Goldwyn Mayer built studios there in the 1920s, which later became Sony Pictures Studios, the shooting location of iconic films, including The Wizard of Oz and Gone with the Wind. Howard Hughes opened his Hughes Aircraft plant in Culver City in 1941, and the mogul’s influence on the neighborhood remains.
